About

Genevieve Nugent is a Vancouver-based artist whose paintings explore questions of consciousness and the emergence of order. Working intuitively with bold colour, organic forms and networks of lines, she develops compositions in which structure and chance continually shape one another. Her practice draws on philosophy and patterns in nature, considering how relationships between seemingly disparate elements give rise to form, complexity and meaning.
